My Japan visit (part3)

Heading out from Kyoto to Osaka, or actually Ikeda City. Spent about 45 minutes in Osaka station trying to find my connecting train. A ten minute walk from the nearest station and i walked in to Kuoka-En Bonsai nursery. Many of you have heard of this nursery thru Björn Björholm and his “Bonsai Art of Japan” videoseries. My Japan visit (part2)

Ah, Kyoto. Ever since my interest in Japan started all those years ago, i knew i wanted to visit Kyoto. With all it´s temples and magnificent gardens, it was on the top of my to do list. My Japan visit (part1)

At last, a dream came true. Been waiting to travel to Japan for almost 25 years and finally i made it. I will share a short travelogue with you and some pictures. My journey start in Tokyo, arriving there after 13 hours in the air. A good friend of my lives and studies in Nakano, a section west of central Tokyo. EBA meeting in Lithuania, who´s going?

This September, the EBA´s (European Bonsai Association) annual meeting will be held in Vilnius, Lithuania. http://www.bonsailithuania.com. I think it will be on the same weekend as our annual meeting, September 4-6. I just compared prices on Momondo for flights and hotels and realized that it´s cheaper for me to go to Vilnius than to Luleå. Is there anyone out there who´s going to EBA this year? Planning a trip to Japan

  As some of you know, I´m going to Japan on a Bonsai-trip in late march. This will be my first trip there so I´m very excited, though I don´t really know what to visit yet. A great help in the plannig process is the really good guide at http://www.bonsaiempire.com/origin/bonsai-japan . I´ve decided on a guided tour which include the Bonsai museum at Saitama, the gardens at Omiya and to top it off, the gardens of Kimura and Kobayashi.
